Heidelberger Brücke
The "Heidelberger Brücke" colloquium is a public event series. It provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange within and outside Heidelberg University, as well as for communication with the interested public. HCE members, researchers, and guest speakers share their expertise and discuss current sustainability topics with the audience.
In the summer semester of 2025, the “Heidelberger Brücke” is dedicated to the topic "Pushed to the Sidelines? Climate Action in Contested Times”. Renowned experts from various fields will explore how nature-based solutions, CO2 control in companies, social movements, and collaboration between universities and cities can contribute to the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The series kicks off on 17 April 2025 with Marina Treskova from Heidelberg University, who will speak about nature-based solutions. A special highlight is the special edition on 15 May 2025, in which the 4EU+ European University Alliance will discuss how universities and cities can jointly advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
